Dan Charles Kinser was born January 9, 1952 in Victoria, Texas to Jim Kinser and Betty Lapham Kinser. He has a younger sister, Deb Martin, and a younger half brother, David Van Eaton. His family moved to Kansas City, Missouri when Dan was 9, and Dan returned to Texas in 1977. He currently resides in Odessa, Texas with his lovely wife Janice. He has a daughter, Geri, raised by Dan and his late wife Christine. Geri has blessed him with a granddaughter named Addison.

Also a talented singer, bassist, and bongo player, Dan is the most cultured member of Torn Page and his input has been invaluable in keeping Arley and Joe balanced in the recording process. He and Arley met at Midland International Airport on July 2, 2004. Dan joined the band on the last day of the month.

Dan cut his teeth playing blues lead, but his licks on Arley’s songs are nothing short of inspiring. He’s 5’10”, has gray hair (originally brown) and hazel eyes.
